1984 Hellinger Award Winner- Linda M. Smith Abbaszadeh

Linda Smith, a resident of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, was given the Hellinger in 1984 in light of her extensive involvement on campus, excellent grades and her work at securing internships and employment off campus. She was president of the campus chapter of Public Relations Society of America, was a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, was a newscaster and editor for WSBU, and served as a staff artist for The Bona Venture. A member of the varsity field hockey team, Smith was also a public relations and advertising intern for the St. Bonaventure Graduate School Program.

Off campus, she was an advertising intern with Paolin & Sweeney Advertising and Public Relations in Cherry Hill and was with WCAU-TV in Philadelphia.
